Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Adventurer born in the past three hundred years. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. In his 12th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has worked as a Adventurer like his mother before him.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Paelias was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Miner work with an outfit from a few towns over. Miner work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. Being a Marshal kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac

History: He is a Doppelganger in disguise. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature falchion.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and to reunite with his old friends
