When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Bather they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Bowyer, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Fletcher who has hired him part-time. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: He is a Fortune-teller first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Fortune-teller work with an outfit from a few towns over. Fortune-teller work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.
