He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Elven doctor. Some 7 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Peren never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Personality: He is fixated on the number 60. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. He is a great chef.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Quarion grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Quarion. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
