His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Berrian grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Berrian. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Gennal was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Through the years after Gennal was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Gennal's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Gennal and his spouse have recently divorced.

To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Varis was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He's also a talented Stableman, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: To be a Stableman again; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: Himo was born with his mother's beautiful face. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
