Description: This petite short man is perpetually holding a sweet of some kind. He wears rags and sports a simple walking cane, marred by sweets. Sporting a silver mohawk and bushy mustache this man's hair draws a lot of attention. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines gray.

Personality: He is fixated on the number 48. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 15 years.

History: Born in the east to a Barrister, Varis learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Varis alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.
