Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Personality: He is irritable and easily angered. He is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use his stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: Varis was born with his father's beautiful face. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and a deep hatred of dire rats

Personality: In the realm of puns, he cannot help himself. He feels obliged to make them. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: Born in the south his family was never financially stable. He married young, but lost his spouse to brigands. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle.

Description: This man is well dressed, constantly wearing a black suit, grey shirt, and tan tie, and sports empty pouches on his belt. His silver hair has been sun bleached extensively. His eyes are a pleasant hazel.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He is ready at a moment's notice to give into his darker urges. He is a real pyromaniac and does not care who the fire hurts. He often ends up burning people alive in the fires he starts.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and seeks redemption

Description: He wears a green cloak and cross-gartered grey stockings. His attire stands in sharp contrast to his hand crossbow, which is beautifully polished and possesses an ornate carving of a butterfly on it. His hair, while still mostly auburn, has prominent grey streaks. His ears are large.

Personality: Calm and collected, he is a well trained Shepherd. He is a thrill seeker, he laughs at people and throws down challenges. He is highly competitive and combative.

History: Berrian lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Berrian grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Berrian. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and sabotage a competitor
