History: Heian lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Adventurer they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Courier, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers.

Aerdeth decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help.
