He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Varis was born in the south. At a young age he loved to build and create. His mother was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. After a long history of fighting, Varis and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. A true patriot, Beiro would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: Beiro was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Beiro grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Beiro. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Carter for the past few years.
