History: Born in the north to a Sailor, Lucan learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Sailor responsibilities is difficult.

History: He was born in the east. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
