Recently the stress of being a Soapmaker has made it difficult for him to sleep.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Varis was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Elven companion (his 'brother'). Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: He has decided he is irredeemable; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Seamstress hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He now mingles about in high society.
