History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Cursed with lycanthropy at a very young age, Aelar has worked very hard to control his curse. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help
