His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Lucan and his spouse have recently divorced.

Heartbroken, Korfel never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
