His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. As a very small child his family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed. His mother, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect him and cast a teleportation spell that whisked him away. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day.

History: He was born into a rich family. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has since lost track of the people in his past.
