History: Peren was born with his mother's beautiful face. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Shepherd for hire.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it
