History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Elves in Peren's homeland. Peren decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
