History: He was born in the west. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Aelar was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he desires power and/or immortality
