Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: Quarion was born in the south. At a young age he loved to build and create. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Quarion took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up falchion and armor he uses now. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting dire rats, the young Efferil began to lead the lost caravan. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
