After coming to the age of reason, Arannis took it upon himself to study the necromantic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
