History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Varis alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this southern guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the south. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Gennal grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Gennal. Being a Detective kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Personality: Ivellios speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: He was born into a rich family. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: He is wracked by social anxiety.
