History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. A gifted student he started as a Performer, but he got bored and became a Scribe. He's also a talented Performer, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
