Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Performer but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: The child of a Miller, who enjoyed hunting, Varis was taken on many hunting expeditions. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Varis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Varis. He bought a rapier and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
