He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has never given up on his writing dream.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the south. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Erdan alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it
