When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Dyer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Heian was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.
