History: Uthemar was born in the west. At a young age he loved to build and create. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Uthemar took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up bastard sword and armor he uses now. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

History: Naal hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the west; and he wants revenge against gnolls

History: Ivellios was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day
