History: Arannis hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. At a young age his mother died while driving off some gnolls. His father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in greatsword use. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Arannis fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Born to a Dilettante, his mother struggled to pay the bills. Through the years after Aelar was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Aelar's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Aelar and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Merchant hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Merchant for hire.
