His father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in quarterstaff use. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Aerdeth was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Aerdeth grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Aerdeth. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.
