He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: His necromantic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying sister.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. After months of barely getting by, Berrian managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, he made his way to the capital under a new identity.
