History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Paelias grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Paelias. Being a Painter kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. Naal liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
