History: Vanuath was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. A gifted student he started as a Scribe, but he got bored and became a Healer. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by drow. Vanuath was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the drow.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Healer arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. Heian enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Heian alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever
