History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Thervan alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Carrie was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: This man loves painting and to teach people painting more than just about anything. He takes great joy in being the best Mortician in town.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He has never given up on his painting dream.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and to be a carpenter again
