History: Heian lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. He is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Dayereth grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Dayereth. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Layabout. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Layabout.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and regain custody of his son

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Efferil fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: The child of a Ploughman, who enjoyed hunting, Koeth was taken on many hunting expeditions. After coming to the age of reason, Koeth took it upon himself to study the necromantic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and doesn't want to be a herbalist and was forced into it by his family
