History: Rael was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it
