History: Laucian was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. He moved out south to avoid the crime he committed. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. At some point he was captured by dire rats and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the south; and he wants revenge against dire rats

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Wants his loneliness to end.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is very protective of his business, his home, and his spouse. He is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: Caeldrim was born with his mother's beautiful face. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and seeks redemption

Personality: Theren hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has worked as a Laborer like his father before him.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and he has decided he is irredeemable
