History: Varis was born in the north. At a young age he loved to build and create. After coming to the age of reason, Varis took it upon himself to study the necromantic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying brother.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Paelias alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
