Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Theren hails from a village terrorized by giants. In his 15th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. After a long history of fighting, Theren and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear; and he wants revenge against giants

Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality.

Description: This tall, slender man wears a brown cloak and cross-gartered violet stockings. He wears his brown hair down. His skin is flawless and his brown eyes scan people very quickly.

Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and he is content

Description: This man wears clothing that is held on in multiple layers but all of it is in poor condition. He is muscular with a powerful set of arms. He has a small bristly mustache and wavy silver hair. His ears are large.

Personality: He is a man who does what he needs to. He will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Aelar grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Aelar. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and a rival would like him out of the picture
