History: Arannis was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature kukri.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

His father taught him the rudiments of the Mercenary arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.
