History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Varis alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against illithids; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Through the years after Traki was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Traki's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Traki was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: Himo was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. His first spouse was a Shepherd, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control.
