Halimath grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Halimath. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

After coming to the age of reason, Naeris took it upon himself to study the druidic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Naeris fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
