He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Cartwright for hire.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His childhood dream was to be a Fletcher, but he was a colossal failure. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Gardener responsibilities is difficult; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it
