History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His parents enrolled him in a Sorcerer school at a young age so that he could practice his necromantic talents. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. Varis is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was born at the edge of vast island. Varis liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well.
