He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying north to reunite his family. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Gennal hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Gennal alone in the world.
