History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He worked as a nervous Guard and found it very stressful. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Personality: Varis wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Sorcerer, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. Through the years after Varis was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north.
