History: The child of a Masseuse, who enjoyed hunting, Varis was taken on many hunting expeditions. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Varis took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up greataxe and armor he uses now. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: Born to a Marshal, his father struggled to pay the bills. Through the years after Aelar was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Aelar's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Aelar and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north; and balancing his hectic life and new assassin responsibilities is difficult
