One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 9 years.

His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: Ahvain hails from a village terrorized by goblins. He always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.
