History: He was born into a rich family. Naeris liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Shepherd for hire.

History: Peren was born in the west. At a young age he loved to build and create. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Description: This late middle aged man is well dressed, but even with his fine clothing he looks run-down and is in decent physical shape. His brown hair is cut jaggedly and amateurishly. His skin is flawless and his blue eyes scan people very quickly.

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Arannis was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Arannis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Arannis. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.
