History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: He comes from a rich western family. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Raer grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Raer. After months of barely getting by, Raer managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, he made his way to the capital under a new identity.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion
