He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Gilbert embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He uses divination through singing.

History: Gilbert was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Ostracized due to the druidic powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. After a long history of fighting, Gilbert and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
