Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: Hunter was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). During his travels, Hunter and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Hunter discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Hunter fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. Like his father and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Shoemaker. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Unemployed they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Shoemaker, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and his religion dominates his actions

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Mercenary who has hired him part-time. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: Ernest was born with his father's beautiful face. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. He tends to his Mercenary job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and balancing his hectic life and new mercenary responsibilities is difficult

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. A true patriot, Henry would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
