History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. He also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: Alex was born in the south. At a young age he loved to build and create. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and his religion dominates his actions
