History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Shane was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Shane's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He acts crazy and hedonistic. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality.

Description: He wears a faded coat and loose pants complete with top hat. He carries with him a set of hand crossbows on his belt, each one with a amethyst on the hilt. He has shaved his head bald. He has brown eyes.

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: Shane hails from a village terrorized by orcs. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. Shane was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the orcs.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the forest to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Balimaar took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up falchion and armor he uses now. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
